Pure Ceylon Organic Clove

Clove is the flower bud of the Eugenia caryophyllus tree which is grown in a humid tropical climate. Flower buds are the main commercial part but, inflorescence branches left after the buds have been removed, and the leaves also have a commercial value. Clove oil is a derivative product of the clove which has a slightly yellowish color and has the number of medicinal values and health benefits such as

  • Rich in antioxidants
  • May help to improve liver functions
  • May fight against cancers
  • Good for the digestive system and many other benefits.

There are few grades of cloves commercially available depends on its bud size, consistency of headless cloves or as the stems.

Nutmeg & Mace

Nutmeg & Mace are developed inside the same fruit of the Myristica Fragrans tree, but two entirely different spices. Nutmeg is the seed without the aril (Mace) which has a hard outer cover which should be removed before use. Nutmeg gives a bit sweet taste when comparing to the mace.

Mace is the dried outer aril of the Nutmeg which produces intense aroma comparing to the Nutmeg & have strong, tart & spicier mouth feel.

Both have quite different applications as a spice & traditional medicinal applications, health benefits such as help against bad cholesterols.

Perennial herbaceous plant (Elettaria cardamom) which produces a capsule shaped fruit with great commercial value as a spice. Available as whole dried capsule, or a ground product & oil. It is used as a spice in food industry and widely used as a flavoring agent in beverages or simply with coffee & tea.
